These columns allow for the identification of the driving predecessor
In conjunction with the Driving Predecessor Indicator, we also have 4 new columns in the Master Schedule - Early Start, Early Finish, Late Start, Late Finish.- Early Start (ES): This is the earliest possible date that an activity can start, based on the network logic and any constraints. It represents the soonest an activity can begin without delaying the project.
- Early Finish (EF): This is the earliest possible date that an activity can finish, considering its Early Start date and its duration. Essentially, it shows when an activity could ideally be completed if there are no delays.
- Late Start (LS): This is the latest possible date that an activity can start without delaying the overall project. It helps to understand how much flexibility is available before the project timeline is impacted.
- Late Finish (LF): This is the latest possible date that an activity can be completed without delaying the project. It represents the deadline by which an activity must finish to keep the project on track.
You can populate these columns by clicking on the Columns button and checking the boxes next to those columns. Easy!
