Functionalities in the Gantt > Buttons

Learn about the functions of the buttons available on the Gantt.

In the Gantt there are several buttons that allow you to perform certain actions, which are detailed below:

 

    1. Scroll to Today:  The Gantt chart will return to the date range that contains today .
    2. Change the zoom level: You can view your Gantt chart on different time scales, from months to hours.
    3. Undo/Redo: Reverts or regenerates the last movements made on the Gantt.
    4. Outdent/Indent:  You can edit the tier structure of your Master Plan.
    5. Link/Unlink: Link or unlink the selected activities.
    6. Saved Baselines: View the history of Baselines saved in your project, activate the line that will define the weighting of your activities and choose which one to display in the bar chart. From here, you will also be able to save a new baseline. Learn more in the Set Baseline article .
    7. Work Hours: Define the working hours that ProPlanner should consider per day and week. Learn more in the Configuring Project Working Hours article .
    8. Gantt Level Display Mode: Edit the Gantt level display mode. With it you can collapse or open the activity tree according to the selected level.
    9. View Options: Hide or show in one click the links between the activities of your Master Plan.
      • Show Links: Hide or show the links between the activities in your Master Plan.
      • Show Critical Path: View the activities that are part of the critical path of your project.
        • Show Float: Hide or show the days of float a specific activity has for its execution with respect to its successor activities.
    10. Bar Colors: Configure with what colors to display the bars of your Master Plan, according to:
      • Status
      • Companies
      • Tags
    11. Import/Download: Upload your Master Plan from MS Project or Primavera P6 files. Learn more about the importer in the First Gantt Chart Import article . In addition, there are different formats for downloading the information.
    12. Save: Save the changes made in your Gantt. If you do not select this button, all changes will be lost
    13. Settings:  Configure important parameters of your project such as:
      • Calendars: Set the days, working hours and exceptions that your project has. Learn more in the article How to set up a calendar?
      • Date Format:  Define the format in which the dates of your Master Plan are displayed.
