How to Use Bulk Edit in the Lookahead?

Both the Master Plan and Lookahead can contain a large number of activities or tasks. Thus, entering or editing information can be a tedious activity if it is executed for each item.

Bulk Edit solves this inconvenience by allowing quick entry or editing of information in all the items that we have selected. It can be used both in the Master Plan and within the Lookahead module. Here are the steps to use Bulk Edit:

1. Select the tasks you want to edit by selecting multiple tasks within the Lookahead. This action will activate the bulk edit bar above the table.
   
   
   
   
2. Select the action you would like to take on the selected tasks, the options you have are:
   
   
   
   1. Roadblock - This bulk edit option will open up the Roadblock modal and will allow you to create a roadblock that will be applied to all of the tasks that are selected. 
      
      
      
      
      
   2. Progress - This option will apply the same progress to all selected tasks. 
       
   3. Duration - Enter a number of days and this will be applied to the selected tasks. 
      
   4. Responsible - If a group of tasks has the same responsible party, find the responsible party in the option and quickly apply to that group of tasks. 
      
   5. Company - Similarly, if a group of tasks is going to be completed by the same company, you can utilize this bulk edit option to assign the company to those tasks.
      
   6. Lean Status - Bulk edit Lean Status by selecting Should, Can, or Weekly Plan.
      
   7. Start Date - Selecting the Calendar icon will allow you to change the start date of all of the selected tasks.
      
   8. Priority - Outbuild also allows you to easily bulk edit the Priority level of your tasks, ranging from Low to Urgent
      
      
      
   9. Clone - This button allows you to copy a group of tasks to another Activity in the Lookahead. Select the clone icon and then select the Activity in the drop-down that you want to clone the tasks to. 
      
   10. Delete - Quickly delete a group of tasks by selecting the trashcan icon. 
       
       
       

Utilize these actions in the Bulk Edit tool bar to easily build out and update your Outbuild Lookahead.
